Imagine helping thousands upon thousands of children with every step, with every stroke of your bicycle pedals? Each year, a huge crowd of participants does just that when they show up to run, walk, or ride at Tour de Broward – an annual event that benefits Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, now in its seventh year.
This year, Michelson’s Trophies is proud to be an In Kind sponsor of Tour de Broward by supplying the custom-made medals that will be handed out the participants. We’ve been making awards and trophies in Miami for many events since 1943, so we know that every runner, walker and cyclist will help make a positive difference in the life of a child and their family. That makes every participant a hero in our book.

We can appreciate the effort and energy, the mental drive and physical determination that propels everyone that takes part in something as big as Tour de Broward. The test of stamina, the focus, the faith in yourself – and the defeat of that little bit of self-doubt that always creeps in, but you still keep going.
The organizers, the volunteers, the spectators, the cheering friends and family, the unseen coaches behind the scenes – all the people that help make this event happen are what make it so memorable. Every individual that makes Tour de Broward a success is a champion, because this incredible event has raised over 2 million dollars in its previous six years for Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital.
So whether you are the first to finish, or at the back of the pack; the screaming friend with the balloons and the cardboard sign of support, or the tired volunteer who still smiles at every participant that comes up to your rest stop; or if you are the organizer who fought through the red tape and made things happen, or the donor who gave whatever you could give when your friend asked for help with their fundraising, you are what makes Tour de Broward what it is:
